Pomodoro Go began as a quick experiment: I wanted to build an application for my Mac’s menu bar and try a new language. I chose Go for its efficiency, speed and lightness, and used AI tools to help me develop it. In about an hour, I went from the idea to studying with an application I had made myself.
The workflow is simple: I start a timer, get notified when it is time to stop and take a break, then start again. The satisfaction came from completing something small and using it straight away. It was a short project, but it gave me a practical first encounter with Go and building a menu-bar application.
