Nannix server.
Self-hosting, my data and the convenience I am learning to build myself.

The project
I have been getting into self-hosting and understanding what happens around my data: DNS, tracking, advertising and the dependencies I choose. My frustration with subscriptions also played a part. In January 2026 I started a lab on a 2016 MacBook Air I already had at home, to try building some of the convenience I use every day.
Today it runs Linux Mint and Docker, with 256 GB of storage and no battery. Immich holds my photo library; Tailscale lets me reach the services away from home. Alongside them are DNS filtering, file access, monitoring and small Telegram experiments.

Inside my Home Lab.
My self-hosting journey: what I explore, the tools I enjoy using and the convenience I try to build myself. Nannix brings together the story, the ideas and the readings that accompany it.
